Jackson Harlow has a 48-hour cancellation, rescheduling, and late policy. All clients who miss, cancel, change, or are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment with less than 48-hour notice, will be charged $50 to a credit card on file. This policy is in place out of respect for both our specialists and our clients. Late cancellations and reschedules prevent others from utilizing valuable appointment time. Late arrivals prevent specialists from providing you their full service and creates a domino effect impacting clients that follow. By providing credit card information, clients acknowledge they have read and understand the Jackson Harlow cancellation policy as described above.

Questions have been raised in the media regarding eyelash extensions and the effects they may have on the natural lashes. Unfortunately, many of these reports have not included complete facts or in-depth information.

Proper application is key, eyelash extensions should not cause damage to the natural lashes. Situations where damage has been, or can be caused to the natural lashes typically involve unqualified individuals applying the eyelash extensions. Jackson Harlow only provides eyelash extension services by properly trained, licensed and certified specialist. The application process requires correct hand positioning, isolation of a single natural lash, individually selecting the eyelash extension and carefully applying it to the base of the natural lash using a strong bonding, high-quality adhesive.  Only with extensive training and supervision can a trainee learn how to perform this type of service.  A highly trained, licensed and certified Jackson Harlow specialist is taught to work with each client’s specific lash type to help them achieve the healthiest and most beautiful look possible.

When requesting clusters or individual eyelash extensions that are more than twice the length and thickness of your natural lash, please understand that you should wear them for special events only.  They are too heavy to be safe for long-term wear. We have seen clients who have lost or damaged eyelashes from wearing flair, cluster lashes, or individual extensions that were too heavy.  Talk to your eyelash extension specialist about the look you want to achieve and any concerns you may have.

If it seems too good to be true, it often is! It is required in DC, Maryland and Virginia to have a cosmetology or esthetician license to practice eyelash extensions. Inexpensive eyelash extension service providers tend to apply lashes dangerously, sometimes without the use of eye pads, and may use low-quality adhesive. Our licensed, certified eyelash extension specialists often see the work of a unqualified individual first-hand and must repair the damage that has been done to the client. People, these are your eyes we are talking about! Please only seek properly licensed, certified eyelash extension professionals!
